Standard v. MAX Roll
FAQ
Product Files
Rolling greenhouse benches remove non-efficient aisle ways and are designed so the table tops easily move to one side or the other creating access aisles when and where they are needed. Rolling benches increase growing space up to 30% by requiring only one 20” to 24” aisle in a bay. It’s all about optimizing grow space for optimal crop yield. All of our rolling greenhouse benches are constructed of strong, 16 gauge galvanized steel tubing and heavy marine grade aluminum rails, rounded corners and leg connectors to provide unmatched structural integrity. Our rolling benches are offered with two rolling extension choices (standard and MAX) and two bench top choices (ebb and flow or expanded metal) on all rolling greenhouse benches.
Our rolling bench system customizations include:
Custom Width/Length/Height
Expanded Metal Tops or Ebb and Flow Tray Tops
Standard or MAX Rolling Extension
Features
16ga Galvanized steel legs, headers, frames
Heavy marine grade aluminum rails, corners, leg connectors

All parts pre-drilled for easy assembly with included fasteners
Choice of Ebb and Flow trays hold roughly ½ gallon of water per square foot and are manufactured of UV coated vacuum formed polystyrene 1” deep
Choice of: Expanded Metal tops manufactured of hot-dipped galvanized steel. 14ga steel is most commonly used

ROLLING GREENHOUSE BENCHES Top Option – Expanded Metal
Expanded metal tops are manufactured with a mesh, diamond opening design out of 14 gauge hot-dipped galvanized steel. This coating protects against corrosion and rust in harsh environments.
ROLLING GREENHOUSE BENCHES Top Option – Ebb and Flow Tray
Ebb and flow tray tops are manufactured from UV coated vacuum formed polystyrene. Grow tables designed with an Ebb & Flow system will reduce water consumption, labor costs, fertilizer and pesticide usage. Ebb and Flow Trays are a uniformed 1” deep, are stocked is standard widths of 2’, 3’, 4’, 4’6”, 5’, 5’6” and 6’, and custom cut to your required length. ROLLING GROW BENCHES Base Extension Option – Standard Roll
Standard rolling grow benches generally extend approximately 32% the overall bench width and may be installed on gravel floors.
ROLLING GROW BENCHES Base Extension Option – MAX Roll
MAX-rolling grow benches generally extend approximately 43% the overall bench width and need to be anchored on concrete floors to prevent tipping.
Roll Extension Comparison.
As a general rule, Standard-Roll will extend up to 32% of the width of the table dimension; MAX-roll will extend up to 43% of the width of the table dimension. Review the comparison chart found under the Product Files tab.
Where do you use rolling benches? Typically used exclusively in production and propagation areas where limited access to some crops is acceptable.
Can I install MAX roll benches on gravel flooring? No. Due to the weight shifting, MAX roll benches must be installed on concrete or hard surface flooring only. Standard roll benches may be installed on gravel floors.
At what point is the height of the bench measured? We measure to the table top where the plant actually sits.
Are the bench legs adjustable to account for uneven or sloped floors? Yes. There are leveling headers at the top of each leg with 2 1/2" of adjustment.
