What are Nestable Pallets?
Most of the pallets you’ll find for sale on Growers’ Goods and elsewhere can be classified as either “nestable” or “stackable.” The key difference between the two is that nestable pallets are designed to nest within each other—kind of like how you can stack egg cartons so that they nest within each other.Stackable pallets don’t nest. You can stack them, of course, but they have a solid platform on both the top and the bottom, which prevents nesting.
How to Choose Between Nestable Plastic Pallets and Stackable?
Make the choice based on how you plan to use them. If you need the ability to store lots of pallets efficiently, for example, then choose nestable pallets because they’ll take up a lot less storage space than stackable pallets. Nestable pallets are also a great lightweight choice when you don’t need to worry about placing them on shelves or pallet racks. If they’ll generally be sitting on a level, solid surface, they might be your best option.Stackable pallets come in handy when you don’t have a level surface on which to place a nestable pallet. On a pallet rack, for example, a nestable pallet’s feet could fall through the slats on the shelving, making it difficult if not impossible to go in with a lift to pick it back up again.
